The synagogue sits where the old marketplace was located. This is based on the architecture of 19th century synagogues found nearly anywhere in the United States.  The current structure was made in July 20, 2016.

The first inspiration was from an abandoned synagogue in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania.  This building has very slight moorish features.  Instead of a peaked wall matching the roof, we went with a more square version such as that found in other synagogues.
