The origins of Olde Lapara Towne is like the origins of any other large city.  It started as a train depot. The first design was a grand terminal with 5 tracks to connect to the SLRR, with a grand terminal below the tracks.  This was during the new policy of connecting the SLRR with private parcels.  The town never applied to connect, and eventually evolved into a road, and 3 or 4 buildings, slowly expanding out.  The town parcel ended at Lapara Boulevard and Railroad Avenue, and today this is still the original first intersection.

Although not planned, Lapara's first building, which has not been moved from its original location, is a switching office.  It was acquired from a really lovely English sim that no longer exists.
